The winner of the 2003 Paviors Award was the All Saints Square Enhancement in Northampton Town Centre, chosen from 69 entries divided into four categories.
The winning entry was considered by the judges to be a very good example of paving, creating space for pedestrians where traffic had predominated before. The scheme enhances the environment in front of All Saints Church which itself is also being renovated. Both the design and construction were considered to be of exceptional quality.
In June 2003, Paviors' judge Mike Cottell accompanied the Master to Northampton to present the award.
