This year continues to be a very active year for the Golfing Society.

Following  the annual dinner on 22nd February 2006 the next event was a “warm up” round at the RAC club for Frank Loughlin , Keith Lambert, John Dance  and James Dickson against the Lightmongers as part of a charity day on 4th May 2006 preceding Swinley.

The RAC club was enjoyed, however , the Paviors team was not at it’s “balanced and tuned best” in golfing terms !

Swinley, as always, was in immaculate condition.  Paviors and guests were never going to be disappointed with this seemingly “magical course” and the superb and  homely environment in the clubhouse.

An array of interesting prizes was on offer this year, with Paviors competing for the Bridgewater Bowl.

Having won the prize for the highest aggregate score over 3 rounds for 2005 and having won on 37 points at Swinley, James Dickson’s handicap has been reduced !

Swinley Prizes were as follows:

Paviors;                                                      Guests;

First -       James Dickson                      First -   Jim Christie

Second -    Daniel Rowe                      Second – Nick Jackson
Third -      Geoffrey Collins                Third -     Michael Heaton Watson

During the speeches at Swinley the excellent news regarding participation (and anticipated funds raised ) in the next meeting on the 19th July at Woburn was conveyed. We now stand at a target of circa £30,000 before forwarding the final cheque to the Charity, " The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK".
