Golf at Tandridge 1 November 2017
The Paviors’ Golf Society held its final event of the year on 1 November at the ever popular Tandridge Golf Club, a venue renown for its picturesque views of the countryside and the daunting valley hole at the 13th.
A total of 30 keen golfer set off, made up of 19 members and 11 guests. Members were playing for the Autumn Trophy, which was presented to the Society some years ago by Geoffrey Collins. The morning started overcast and chilly, but soon turned into a bright sunny day with players discarding layers of warm clothing during the round. The day ended with the usual Tandridge carvery, including deserts to temp all.
After some competitive play, the winner on the day by count-back was the Past Master Ian Lumsden, with a score of 36 points. At the prize-giving, the Autumn Trophy was presented to Ian by this year’s Captain, Lynda Chase-Gardener.
