Linda Duffy, the new Paviors’ Almoner, played a leading role at an event that enabled Almoners from across the City to exchange ideas. The City Livery Club writes:
“The inaugural Almoners Social at City Livery Club was held on 17th November 2025 bringing together 50 Almoners and guests from across the Livery, Ward Clubs, and our other associated organisations.
“This gathering had been in gestation for a long time, as our wonderful Almoner of 8 years, Caroline Walsh, has been building her role and wanted to bring her experience as an accredited mediator and restorative justice practitioner to other Almoners to support one another, collaborate, and enjoy fellowship. Our thanks to new Paviors Almoner, Linda Duffy, for co-hosting, and to the many other Almoners who have laid the groundwork for this to happen.
“The consensus was that this event was long overdue, and we will be planning further opportunities to meet up going forwards. If you know of anyone who would like to get involved with the Almoners Alliance please contact the Clerk Philippa Stary clerk@cityliveryclub.com or Almoner Caroline Walsh almoner@citycliveryclub.com to be added to our mailing list and WhatsApp group.”
