Following recent years’ successful “Battles & Bangers” trips to visit the sites of famous battlefields across France, a group of intrepid members of the Paviors’ Motoring Club set out on a 4-day expedition to explore the vineyards of the Loire Valley. Much eating and driving ensued, and the group bought 36 bottles of their favourite Crémant from Saumur, plus a half-case of non-alcoholic wine, to be served at the 2026 Autumn Livery Dinner. Saumur is the premier hub for Crémant de Loire, famed for its labyrinthine underground tuffeau stone cellars. We look forward to sharing the stories and the wine!
