Liveryman Paul Merritt organised and hosted this year’s Paviors’ Charity Golf Day at West Kent Golf Club.
Funds Raised: Approximately £9,000 + gift aid (net of costs).
It was a fantastic day – the sun was shining, feedback was positive, and there were plenty of smiles all round.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Paviors’ Charity Golf Day at West Kent Golf Club on 4th July 2025. What a day!
We welcomed 71 attendees and 62 golfers, enjoyed glorious sunshine, a top-condition course, and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Sir Robert McAlpine Cup in style.
With bacon rolls in hand and goodie bags at the ready, we kicked off with a two-tee start and an 18-hole Stapleford competition. Special mention to Sue Illman, Holly Merritt, and Daisy Merritt for marshalling our par 3 charity challenge hole, and for keeping things cheerfully competitive!
After a day of fantastic golf, we gathered for a delicious three-course lunch, a charity auction, and prize-giving. Thanks to your generosity through raffles, heads & tails, and auction bidding, we raised £8690.00 in support of The Paviors Charity, which helps educational and charitable organisations linked to the City of London.
