EVENTS
The Worshipful Company of Paviors undertakes a full programme of social, educational and charitable events each year. The Paviors’ year starts in March with the installation of the new Master. The installation ceremony and service of dedication have, for many years, taken place at the church of St Martin within Ludgate, with supper afterwards at Cutlers’ Hall. A number of events are then held throughout the year in which liverymen can participate.
UPCOMING EVENTS
December 2023
The evening will start with an informal Reception followed by Dinner with a Christmas theme. The tone of the evening is “light-hearted formal” and will be concluded with a Stirrup Cup.
This year we are pleased to welcome back Olivia Grace Piper – Soprano, who is to sing some festive numbers and lead us in the singing of some favourite carols.
The event is open initially to members of the Luncheon Club and their guests only. This will be augmented by other Members of the Company should there be enough space.
The dress code is formal but livened up with festive embellishments, as has become a Paviors’ tradition. Suggested attire for the men is Dinner Jackets with Christmas bow ties and/or waistcoats while ladies may wish to have festive accessories. Please use your imagination!
The cost of the evening for Luncheon Club Members and their guests will be £140.00 per person.

Tradition has it that in 975 AD in the Ward of Farringdon Without, there are “divers slaughterhouses and a Butchers’ Hall where the craftsmen meet,” – so begins an unbroken connection between the Butchers, a Butchers’ Hall and Smithfield.
