Ironbridge Museum
The Ironbridge Gorge Museum is located near Telford in Shropshire and is a World Heritage Site. The scenic site is the home of ten different museums exhibiting many aspects of the industrial revolution. Exhibits include engineering, china-clay tiles, ironworks, and a variety of traditional crafts and trades. A popular area is the Blists Hill Victorian Town, which is an authentic reproduction of a late 19th century mining town. Each year, at the invitation of the Museum, the Master joins the Masters of all livery companies to attend the London Livery Weekend. This tradition was started by the late Sir Peter Gadsden, who was Lord Mayor of London 1979-1980.
