Members of the Luncheon Club gathered at the Guildhall for a wonderful afternoon of good food and fine company. The event was held in the elegant Aldermen’s Dining Room, whose tall windows offered exceptional views across the city skyline.
Guests were treated to a beautifully prepared menu, beginning with a starter of Atlantic Cod in Tempura Batter served with Garden Green Pea Purée and a White Wine Cream Sauce. This was followed by a main course of Slow-Cooked Boned and Rolled Gressingham Duck Leg, accompanied by Red Cherry Sauce, Creamed Crushed Potatoes, and Honey-Glazed Batons of Vegetables.
To complete the meal, members enjoyed an Autumn Crumble of Pear and Blackberry with Classic English Custard Sauce and Toffee Ice Cream — a perfect finish to a memorable luncheon.
The room was filled with lively conversation and a wonderful sense of camaraderie from our wonderful members and their guests.
Our sincere thanks go to Stephanie (Cook and Butler) and the Guildhall team for their exceptional service and attention to detail.
