The Paviors’ Luncheon Club held its third ‘virtual’ quiz in the evening of Tuesday 2 June. The quiz took place using the Zoom conferencing facility and 15 teams participated.
The Learned Clerk, John Freestone, acted as Question Master for the four rounds of questions. The first round had questions for which the answer always began with the letter ‘O’ and this was followed by a round on sport and leisure. At this point there was a short break for participants and a quick check of the scores indicated that a very tight contest was under way. A picture round followed this and the evening concluded with general knowledge questions.
When the final scores were added up, the evening’s winning team, by just one point, proved to be Past Master Terry Last and his wife Caroline, who won a bottle of champagne.
The evening proved to be another success and thanks are due to Club Chairman, Tom Barton, and to the Clerk, John Freestone, for making all the arrangements.
