It was nip and tuck at the Puttshack in the heart of the City. In the shadow of the Bank of England, Tom Abbott claimed victory with a late charge and 405 points, winning it at the last hole.
Sir Andrew McAlpine made the early pace in the first half, but the Master came into the reckoning late on – only for Tom Abbott’s clincher (in slight disbelief, Tom had to photograph the winning score as evidence). Nail biting stuff!
A good night was had by all, with a special mention for Jack from the Guild of Young Freemen.
